Supports the key pillars of the Apatisiwin program, including demand-driven skill development through cultivating and identifying employment opportunities to secure placements for Apatisiwin participants while developing and strengthening partnerships with employers through knowledge of:

• Employer/Employment partnerships

• Legislation/Regulations

  • Ontario Works Act

  • Ontario Disability Supports Program

  • Employment Standards Act

  • Workplace Safety Insurance Board

• Apprenticeships

• Colleges, Universities & Training Programs

• Conduct labour market research to determine employment trends and labour market demands

• Collaborate with the Employment Counsellor to understand the goals of Apatisiwin client’s employment action plan
